Programme Overview
This programme aims to provide an introduction to the law, economics and management of Intellectual Property [IP] and innovation for those whose work involves or may involve the management of IP and innovation.
The course shall be delivered through e-lectures as well as other modes as specified below. There will be one e-lectures of 90 minutes each a week, except when there are seminars/group work.
Self-experience group work shall be carried out online under supervision. The duration and frequency of these sessions will be decided by mutual consultation. If conditions so permit, some sessions may be held in a face-to-face mode in college or at LIILR premises.
Online student seminars may be arranged as required.
Special e-lectures/webinars delivered by eminent speakers on external platforms may be treated as part of the course, if appropriate.
Who is this programme for?
The programme should also be of use to those who have some limited prior experience or knowledge of Intellectual Property law, economics, or management and wish to broaden their knowledge and view of this field.
The programme assumes no prior knowledge or experience of Intellectual Property law and economics or its management and is intended for those for whom Intellectual Property will play an important role in their work, but whose work will primarily be managerial rather than legally or technically specialized.

He is the author of Guide to Cyber Laws: the Information Technology Act, 2000, E-Commerce, Data Protection and the Internet, the first section-wise analysis of the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000.
He is presently Advisor to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on the implementation of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
